So its really something to do with Teams or video conferencing over a USB-C port. So I have instructed folks to unplug the Ethernet form the USB-C dock and plug directly into the Ethernet jack on the laptop. Luckily, and I planned it this way, the Lenovo T14 laptops have a physical network jack on the side. ) and are having a few folks experience the same loss of network connectivity. Just wanted to add that we have now rolled out Lenovo T14 laptops ( I will post again if this fails - if this post gets old, assume that solved it! My next try (form an idea on another forum) is to disable all other network ports (the USB-C and the wifi ) and only keep the USB3 connected one running. With the USB3 ethernet connected sperately to everything else it is easier to quickly unplug and replug the USB in and out - which solves the problem. Then I plugged in my old USB3 gigabit adapter to the USB3 port while keeping the HDMI into the USB-C adapter and I thought that had solved it but today I had the old problem (call dropping with no internet signalled on the ethernet icon in the tray). Not a problem with wifi as far as I can tell - but obviously video calling is better on ethernet (when it's working) Other high-bandwidth use and speedtests never cause a problem. The problem was 'no internet' signalled on the ethernet connection.

I just thought i should add my experience on this as well, on a surface pro 7 with a combined USB-C HDMI/ethernet/USB-3 hub I had problems with video calls dropping (in Teams, but also in Google Meet). Check if you can find a dock that is NOT AC powered.

So now my Ethernet is plugged back into my new Startech dock. So that I could reduce all my dongles and dock to just one dock. So I ran in that configuration for a while with no issues. Because I wanted to have two external monitors and an external keyboard and mouse connected to my HP Spectre X360, I needed like 3 dongles, (Hootoo dock, USB-C to HDMI adapter and USB-A to Ethernet). So eventually, I just got a USB to Ethernet adapter and used that. Only way to get my network connection back would be to reboot. I would be on an MS Teams call and the call would just drop. I had the Ethernet cable plugged into a hootoo dock from amazon. USB 3.0 Docks that don't have a power input have been found not to affect this, as well as USB 3.0 - Ethernet adapters. Note 5 - Seems to only be affected by inputs of ethernet with Supply Charging Power. Note 4 - Surface Dock Firmware is up to date, as well as ethernet drivers, and Windows updates on the Surface Pro 4/5/6, and Surface laptop 3. Note 3 - This occurs on home and work connections, so we suspect it is not actually the connection but something happening with the DOCK itself. Those devices never have issues when going through wifi instead of a dock and ethernet connection.

Note 2 - This only occurs on devices that are connecting through Surface Dock connections. Note 1 - This issue never happens when on WIFI, or not connected to a dock. Ethernet will not reconnected until either reseating ethernet cable. Scenario: When on a MS Teams Video Call - It will often crash the Ethernet connection, and then reconnect to a Wifi Connection. I've scoured the net, but haven't found a fix for this issue now, wondering if anyone can help with this.
